Gas or Charcoal BBQ Grill?
That everlasting dispute about which BARBEQUE grill is better – charcoal or gas has been around for ages (and now we have electric BARBEQUE fans joining this dispute too!). All of it started back in the 1960s when the first gas BARBEQUE grills appeared on the market.
The first thing that identifies a gas grill from a charcoal one is the fact that you can set it off extremely rapidly indeed, without needing to put any effort into lighting everything up and awaiting the charcoals to get all ashy. And of course, with gas grills, you won’t get all dirty dealing with all those piles of charcoal and after that the ashes.

The tank is linked to the grill with the help of provided special easy to use devices. And there we go! The grill is ready! You open the vent to let the gas in, switch the burners (typically by pushing electrical ignition button), heat up the grill to the required temperature level and start barbecuing all your yummies!
Obviously, when using a gas BARBEQUE grill you need to keep in mind about safety measures. You need to never lean over the grate when it’s on, even if it is covered. In fact, using a gas BBQ does not need any special knowledge or abilities. It can be easily preserved – all you need to do it clean the grilling pannel itself and get rid of the leftover fat from the tray, which is constantly put at the very bottom of the grill. As you can see, it’s just like cleaning your routine oven in the kitchen area, apart from something – here you will enjoy cooking outcomes a lot more!

The gas BBQ fans firmly insist that gas grills are easier and faster to launch, while charcoal people smile and say: “Well, perhaps you are right, but with a gas grill you will never ever get that smokey scent, which makes your BARBEQUE a real BBQ!” “Well, we will include some dry thinnings to get that scent!” – reply gas BARBEQUE fans. “Sure, sure … why do not you use deodorant …” – we hear those ironical charcoal men.
I’m afraid we will never ever see the reality in this dispute. But I will inform you this – when I fulfilled a man who has actually been selling BARBEQUE grills and devices for years and this is what he told me. When I asked him which grill he has in his own house, he stated: “I have 3 grills: one big gas grill – for BBQ with pals; one charcoal grill Weber Performer – for peaceful home Barbeques; and one little portable charcoal one – to disappear for a picnic”. I think this is just the best choice!!! And what helps is that the choice is great nowadays and we can all make that best choice.
